Last Day of Physical Therapy
Well today was my last day of physical therapy and i could not be more excited to be done. I have been working out the muscles around my knee and i feel a huge difference from when i first started in January. Until school is over i plan on working out at the gym for some more PT since i am all done with my physical therapists. As for future plans, I will be meeting with my doctor who performed the surgery on May 3rd. We will see what he has to say about playing sports. My travel team will be competing in the U-20 state cup competition this summer and if the doctor clears me to play i plan on playing, but only if i feel ready. I’ll continue with my training and physical therapy and when it is all said and done hopefully i will be a member of the UMW varsity soccer team.
Oh yeah, special thanks to Central VA Orthopaedics & Liberty Sports for being so helpful with my post surgery therapy!

Physical Therapy 4-13-2010
I did all of the usual exercises today at therapy which include: Heat, bike, calf, hamstring, and quad workouts/stretches, elastic bands, and finally ice and shock treatment.
Here is a video featuring one of my therapists Mark, the owner of Liberty Sports Orthopaedics.
JMU SPRINGFEST RIOT 2010 = INSANE
So i decided to hit up JMU’s annual Springfest this year for the first time and i was not disappointed. I left this past Saturday morning and enjoyed hanging out with both friends from UMW and friends from my high school. Everything went really well until students started rioting and lighting dumpsters on fire (hence the title of this blog). Eventually drunk college kids ended up throwing bottles and rocks at the riot squad which then lead to them throwing tear gas cans and shooting rubber bullets at people. All in all my weekend was the craziest weekend ever and i am glad to be alive.
Here is a video i recorded from my phone

Knee Update
My knee is doing very well, it has came a long way but it feels great. I did physical therapy at the goolrick gym today and ended up jogging on the treadmill which is great. It is a bit swollen but that is normal for any knee surgery. Videos of therapy will be posted as soon as i can find my usb cord haha!

Physical Therapy 3/30/10
Started up with my physical therapy again this week at Central Orthopaedics right next to the UMW hospital. They were all booked up last week so i had to do my own physical therapy at the gym in Goolrick Hall. Starting out for the day, they put some heat on my knee for about ten minutes then i hit the bike for 15 minutes which was a good warm up. Next, my therapist stretched out my quad and my hamstring and i stretched out my calves. Next couple exercises consisted of the following: hamstring curls (machine), squats, and flexible bands. Also, i did some exercises that required me to balance on my right leg (real tough believe it or not). To finish up for the day, the therapists put the electric shock on my quad muscles with ice which always feels nice/weird.
